Hi! Thanks for the recommendation! Almost all of the sounds are loaded in advance. So i don't think that's the problem. I have a feeling it's a WEB build problem and additional unoptimized parts of the code. Did you played in browser, on phone or windows build?
The game looks promising. Lots of interesting mechanics for the genre. Still needs some polish, but it feels like the full version would be a solid example of the excremental game.

game keeps freezing for several seconds everytime it loads a new sound effect. Maybe try loading all of these during the initial game load

yeah you're basically have to go strength->armor->deflection at the start
